Daan Mostert and Erick Breytenbach both studied at the University of Stellenbosch where they obtained the degrees BA (Law) ad LLB.

After graduating from university, Erick completed his articles of clerkship at the then Johannesburg office of the Pretoria based firm, Dyasons.

After a brief stint with another Johannesburg law firm, Erick decided to establish his own practice together with former student-friend Daan Mostert.

Erick has a specific interest in the insurance industry, and has established himself with a fixed corporate client base. His areas of expertise are credit insurance, credit management, motor law and commercial debt recoveries. Erick also acts on behalf of three of the major Credit Bureaus in South Africa.

Erick has often appeared as a guest speaker at conferences and workshops, mostly pertaining to his specialist field of Credit insurance and credit management.

The company Breytenbach Mostert Skosana Inc held a number of highly successful Credit Conference / Workshop(s), that were well-supported by the credit industry.

Erick has also compiled study material for the third year degree course in Credit Management at Technikon RSA. He is a member of the Advisory Committee for Credit Management at the same institution.

Erick is also the author of three practical manuals for the benefit of Trade Creditors. These manuals have been well received and are utilised amongst various corporate enterprises.

He has also, during the pas three years, acted as a judge for the Institute of Credit Management with the adjudication of the annual awards for best credit manager of the year.

Daan Mostert started his articles of clerkship at the Randburg firm Sutherland, Van der Westhuizen, Van Tonder Incorporated. He was admitted as an attorney and notary during 1993, and later that year he started practising for his own account under the name of Mostert Attorneys. He also completed a master of laws degree (LL.M.) at the University of South Africa in media, criminal and personality law. In 1994 Daan was admitted as a conveyancer.

Linda Skosana holds BA and LLB degrees from the University of the Witwatersrand. He is experienced in High Court litigation and enjoys legal challenges over a wide field. He has a particular interest in labour law matters, and is a member of the Gauteng Legal Tribunal.

Asif Kaka studied at the Potchefstroom University for Christian Higher Education (now the University of Northwest) and attained an LLB degree. He is employed in the firm’s litigation department as a professional assistant.
